Registration includes one game and one practice per week from September through March. Some weeks are exempted due to the facility availability.

As with most sports, kids' hockey is different than the professional game you may watch on television. Our association is committed to keeping your child safe. We do this by having:

  • strict rules for equipment and behaviour,
  • a strong emphasis on teaching skills over contact,
  • no bodychecking allowed until the U14 level and NO bodychecking allowed at all in Houseleague hockey,
  • trained game officials who enforce league rules,
  • certified coaches and trainers for every team.

We believe hockey is a sport for life, where positive team experiences are always the priority.

We have a basic registration fee which includes a standard level of programming. Additional activity may involve extra fees on a user-pay basis. Our fees are listed on our Registration page in detail.
To make sure we keep our players safe, we require you to provide all the items shown here. It's important that your child's equipment be in good condition, comfortable, and properly fitted in order to avoid injury. Our association offers goaltender equipment to some players where eligible.
Yes, they can! Whatever level of experience your child has, they are welcome. Depending on your players age, there are additional skating sessions your player can register for however our coaches are skilled in preparing players of all abilities.
Players who are new to hockey will be required to submit their full name, birth certificate, and proof of residential address. If this is the first time you are registering your child in hockey, you (the parent or guardian) will need to complete a simple, but important, respect program after registration.
Basic registration includes standard programming: usually one practice and one game per week, a hockey jersey and hockey socks (Houseleague).

Our cost model is built upon a number of variables which include ice costs based on City fees, as well as many other administrative costs that are necessary to keep RMHA running such as OMHA fees, team fees, Hockey Canada fees and insurance, facility room rentals, coach clinics, and many other items that are included in the registration fee.

You will be redirected to Hockey Canada to complete your registration.
