SHAWN JARROLD: 2025-26 U11 COACH
Shawn is a dedicated and passionate hockey enthusiast who has immersed much of his life in the sport. As a former junior C hockey player for the Belle River Canadiens, he developed a deep love for the game and honed his skills on the ice, becoming a well-respected player in the community. His time with the Belle River Canadiens shaped him into a strong competitor and leader, earning the respect of his teammates and coaches alike. Years later, Shawn was given the exciting opportunity to spearhead the formation of the Belle River Junior Canadiens junior hockey team where he eventually took on the role of assistant coach helping to guide and mentor the players for four years. His experience as a player, and his knowledge of the game made him an invaluable asset to the coaching staff. Throughout his tenure, he instilled discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic in his players.
Most recently Coach Shawn has become a valued coach with the Riverside Minor Hockey Association. He assists other coaches, bringing his wealth of experience and passion for the game to help develop young players. His collaborative approach and dedication to the sport have made him a respected figure in the Riverside hockey community.
Shawn’s journey from a junior C player to a successful coach and mentor demonstrates his unwavering commitment to the sport and community. His leadership and dedication continue to inspire future generations of hockey players in Belle River, Riverside, and the hockey community in general.
