SHAWN KNOWLES: 2025-26 U10 COACH
Shawn has over 20 years of coaching experience at the travel level from u8 to junior c hockey. He has taken 3 different Riverside teams to OMHA finals and has had numerous tournament championships. Shawn has coached over 20 players who have gone on the play at the junior hockey level. Shawn's focus is always on player development including a strong emphasis on skating technique, and proper puck-handling skills. Equal focus on the development of all players leads to strong team play and an environment that everyone is proud to be a part of. Shawn Knowles is a lifelong Riverside Ranger, having over 35 years in the organization as a player, referee, coach, board member, and parent.
For the past 5 years, Shawn has brought his skill set to the young houseleague ages introducing a more detailed and disciplined approach to learning the game. His focus is on hockey fundamentals and building a foundation of skills that will enable his young players to improve exponentially as the season progresses.
