2019-20 Travel Coach List (Riverside Minor Hockey)

A Mechanical Engineer by trade, Darren has been coaching in Riverside since the 2013 season, at both the Travel (2013-2018) and House League (2016-2019) levels. Darren is also a member of the newly formed REP Committee who's goal is to ensure the success of RMHA now and in the future. Darren's goals will be to teach and develop these young Rangers starting at tryouts and all season long. 

Mark is a passionate and learned student of the game of hockey and has coached at the minor hockey level for the past 9years in various capacities both Travel and Houseleague. Mark's goals for the season are to create the hardest working players in the league, instill confidence in these young Rangers and provide fun and lasting memories for the team as a whole which will keep them coming back year after year. 

Shaun is an experienced coach from the AAA level to Tyke Houseleague. Heading into his 7th year with RMHA, the last 3 years with the 09s group. With Shaun at the helm this group has won back to back OMHA titles. His dedicated staff has adopted the Riverside character program from coach Ryan Blair . They put as much work in off ice development, such as life skills, life experiences and leadership qualities as they do on ice development. Team goals this year is to continue to develop the kids on and off the ice, push them to the maximum of their abilities, keep them smiling and have as much fun as possible. 

Victor has been involved with coaching minor hockey and soccer for over 20 years bringing a high level of playing and coaching experiences. The main goal of his staff will be to ensure all players have a fun and meaningful experience building on the development of fundamental skills while continuing to grow individual tactics, team tactics, and team strategy.  Players will learn what it takes to be a successful team player and how working together can translate into success.   

Dan has been part of RMHA for many years as a Head Coach and parent to his boys Caleb and Jordan. He and his wife Lisa have been part of their son's teams and watched them grown from young Rangers into successful Jr. players. Dan knows the dedication and hard work required to become a successful hockey player. His experience and knowledge of hockey and how to train for it will help the team grow and develop. Along with his son Caleb they will provide the expertise that will maintain the successes for this group of Rangers. 

John has coached all levels of Hockey and Baseball over the past 30+ years, from Junior to Houseleague, most recently with Sun County AAA and Amherstburg A travel programs. He's had the pleasure of coaching Mikey Dipietro for several years. His passion for hockey and love of the game translates into players becoming better people on and off the ice. John and his staff will breed a team first attitude, no individuals, each player would be accountable to the team as a whole, success and failure will be dealt with as a team. He looks forward to returning to RMHA and helping to continue it's great and storied tradition.

Ryan has 14 years coaching experience at Midget Travel as well as AAA PeeWee and Bantam levels. His main focus is the development of team unity building success through individual and team development. Players will have a high level of work ethic and character which will be lead by the coaching staff on and off the ice. The staff consists of Matt Ridout and Jason Wescarver both with a passion for the game true “Hockey Guys “ with years of coaching Travel AAA and University as well as years of Jr playing careers.

Vince has been a coach in our organization for many years and has a proven philosophy to hockey development:
Believe in yourself and believe in the system.
He and his staff will continue to develop good hockey players and more importantly good people. His team will strive to improve their fitness, speed and creativity on the ice.

Dave has been coaching hockey for the past 30 years and soccer for the past 20.  His approach to Midget Major is that it is a year where other commitments start to take as big a priority as hockey (school and work), so his approach to coaching this age group is understanding how to deal with players other priorities. His staff is young and ambitious and will take on additional responsibilities to further prepare them for coaching in their future. Dave and his staff has coached the Midget Major team in RMHA the past 2 seasons and are hoping to build on the success we have had and have fun doing it.

Coach Todd has led previous Ranger teams to OMHA Championships. He and his staff elevated the 03's to a 4th place finish in the Bluewater hockey league in the 2013-14 season.
