MINOR Adjustments to Arena Entrance Protocols
Submitted By AMS on Tuesday, October 13, 2020
RMHA in conjunction with the City of Windsor recognizes that the existing entry protocols to the facility has put a strain on some families with multiple children particularly younger ones that cannot be left home alone while a single parent / guardian transports the other player to the arena.

Adjustments have been adopted which could help to ease this strain. Please review the new protocols below and contact [email protected] if you have questions.

Our original return to operation document allowed for 25 participants per ice rental hour and building access which included one guardian per minor participant. The rental must enter as one group all at once due to their responsibility to conduct the COVID screening protocol and complete contract tracing information for all in their group.

City of Windsor staff have been tracking the attendance of each rental and conducted additional meetings with Public Health to determine that the concourse area is *not* included in the *arena proper* area which will remain at a cap of 25. Therefore an adjusted plan was developed to cap the rental groups at 45 people per rental hour. Rink access is still limited to 25 people.

The group(s) are still required to come in all at once with NO latecomers.  Priority will be given to one minor/one guardian to ensure all players get into the building to practice. After that we can allow a parent to bring in one other minor providing they stay within the 45 person limit as a group and the child remains by their side the entire time they are in the facility.

ANY ADDITIONAL PEOPLE OVER THE LIMIT OF 25 CANNOT ENTER THE ARENA AREA! Those people can move upstairs or stay in the concourse. We hope that this helps to alleviate some of the confusion and strain over transporting players.
