Message from Coach Vince
Dear Parents....I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to this year’s Riverside Rangers Pee Wee minor A tryouts for the 2016/2017 season.
My goals this year are to continue to develop your child’s skills and respect for the game and also try to repeat the team's great success last season as OMHA Champs and OHF Champs.
For those of you that do not know me, my name is Vince Marazita. I have 23 years of experience as a coach. I believe hockey is a key component in a young person’s development, from not only a physical perspective, but a social and mental one as well. My coaching philosophy is skill development and to encourage the players to be leaders and hold each other accountable while working in a team environment.
At this year’s tryouts , players are asked to reflect on the following characteristics which we are looking for: commitment, desire, high work ethic, team player, leadership, discipline, skills and speed.
Over the course of the tryouts, I and a few others will be looking for those characteristics on and off the ice.Thank you for your time and hope to see you all at this year’s tryouts. Good luck to all!
