The following rules shall be in place for the 2015 – 2016 playoffs.
Games will be played in the following
format:
1st Period: 12 Minutes
2nd Period: 12 Minutes
3rd Period: 15 Minutes
Overtime Period: 5 Minutes (4 on 4)
WIN
= 2 POINTS
TIE
= 1 POINT
LOSS
= 0 POINTS (
Regulation or Overtime)
Teams will receive one 30 second timeout per game. No second timeout will be given in the overtime period.
OVERTIME
In the event of a game being tied at the end of regulation (end of the 3rd period), there will be one 5-minute overtime period. Teams will not switch ends at the end of regulation. The period will be played in a 4 on 4 format. In the event the game is curfewed or the overtime period ends while the two teams are tied, the game will end in a tie. There will be no shootout.
TIEBREAKER
In the event of there being a tie between two or more teams at the end of the playoff round robin format, the following tiebreak rules will be in effect:
1.) Total points (earned during the playoff round robin);
2.) Head to Head;
3.) Least goals against;
4.) Least penalty minutes; and
5.) Coin toss.
DAY OF CHAMPIONS
OVERTIME
1.) The game will go straight to a shootout.
2.) 3 player shootout. (Players to be selected at the end of regulation time);
3.) Sudden death shootout (Original shootout players cannot be used until everyone has shot);
4.) In the event the shootout reaches the last player on a team and the other team has less players, the last player to shoot from the team with lesser players will shoot again. This applies to all imbalanced teams.
5.) A Player in the Penalty box at the end of regulation time or removed from the game due to a penalty is not eligible for the shootout. This does not include a player serving a penalty for another player.
