Houseleague Hockey & Ratings: WHAT's NEXT?
Submitted By AMS on Saturday, August 10, 2019
So you've registered your player for the 2019-20 season and are wondering what happens now??

Here's a list of commonly asked questions and answers for you regarding the upcoming season. (If you can't find the answer you're looking for contact us by email).

  1. When does the season start?
    1. The season RATINGS days will be scheduled the weekend after Labor Day. FULL schedule for ratings weekend is found here. PLEASE NOTE THE YEAR-OF-BIRTH COLUMN to be sure you're showing up at the right place!

  2. Will someone contact me directly?
    1.  *After* ratings are completed your player is put onto a Houseleague team based on their age group. At that time the rosters are posted to the Houseleague pages for your particular division. You can check those lists yourself. Coaches will also make every effort to contact their players when the teams are set but check the roster lists yourself to be sure.

  3. What is Ratings?
    1. The weekend after Labor Day is our first opportunity to gauge your players skill level. Based on those skills the player is rated accordingly. Team composition is based on ensuring we have balanced players on each team. Sometimes we make mistakes and we will try to correct them in the subsequent weeks and may move some players around.

  4. When does the season end?
    1. The season ends at the end of March with our Day of Champions. (More information on that as the season progresses). Divisional schedules are being posted to our website now. Updates will occur frequently so check back often.

Hope this helps answer your questions.
